Neuroscientist Candace Pert explains that essentially everything is psychosomatic (in the true sense of the word, not derogatory). The word we should use is mindbody not mind-body.
There’s interesting etymology here viz. soma (body) and psyche (mind/spirit).
The brain (mind) and body are one shared system. Cognition is distributed through and embodied in the entire organization. See the “enactive approach” to cognitive science viz. cognition is not the representation of an independent outside world by an independent inside mind, but instead is the enactment or bringing forth of a world of significance through embodied action.
